Not to be missed in London W1…

London’s W1 is known for it’s retail therapy. The main shops start at Marble Arch and carry along Bond Street and Oxford Street. Then you can choose whether to fork off down Regent’s Street or carry on to Piccadilly Circus. Highlights include Selfridges department store which is home to the world’s largest shoe collection and the flagship Nike store at Oxford Circus. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to stop off along route to keep you refuelled; try Dolly’s café on the lower ground floor of Selfridges.

W1 is the place to be for a night out in London. Soho is bursting with cocktail bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Try O-bar for great value cocktails or if you’re after something more special, head to The Experimental Cocktail Club, with an extensive spirit list and an atmosphere based on a speak-easy.

Chinatown is worth a visit, even just to take in the bright colours and vibrant atmosphere. There are copious amounts of Chinese restaurants to choose from here, but Little Lamb is hard to beat. Cook your own food (meat, seafood, vegetables etc) in hot bowls of stock at your table or go for the great value £20 set meal.

After some evening entertainment? Throw some shapes at Piccadilly Institute or laugh the night away at the Piccadilly Comedy Store.
