Not to be missed in London SW1…

The Saatchi Gallery exhibits contemporary art by lesser known artists, attracting a wide range of visitors. The work is usually a mixture of installations and paintings that will be sure to get you talking. Admission is free.

Westminster Abbey is a large gothic church with over a thousand years of history. The current church was built by Henry III in 1245 and has been the chosen venue for many Royal coronations and weddings. Visiting times run from Monday to Saturday, with Sundays for worship only.

The clock tower at the Palace of Westminster is better known as Big Ben and is one of the most iconic images of the London skyline.

Head to the Victoria Palace Theatre, opposite Victoria Station, for award winning musicals; past productions have included Fame and Grease. Check the box office for current showings.

Opened in 1897, the Tate Britain holds permanent collections of historic British art as well as contemporary works including the works of Henry Moore, J.M.W Turner and William Blake. Admission is free.

No trip to London would be complete without a visit to Buckingham Palace, the official Royal residence since 1837. Tours are available for an admission fee; although watching the changing of the guards from the gates is still the more popular.
