Kensington Palace, the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and it’s Gardens are also adjoined to Hyde Park. Situated alongside here is the famous Kensington Palace Gardensstreet which is resident to some of the most expensive houses in the world, also known as ‘Billionaires Row’.

Notting Hill isn’t just famous from the hit film starring Hugh Grant; this beautiful part of London is host to one of the UK’s most famous festivals, ‘Notting Hill Carnival’ and Portobello Road Market. The Carnival is essentially one big street party with residences selling beer, food and the use of their toilets to the parade spectators. Held annually over the bank holiday weekend in August, highlights include some great costumes, dancing, floats and music; everything you’d expect from a carnival! Portobello Road Market, dating back to 1870, is one of the world’s most famous street markets. Stalls specialise in antiquities, fashion and fruit and veg! Open daily apart from Sundays, although Friday and Saturday have extra bric-a-brac stalls.
